THE HIDDEN BROOKLINE COMMITTEE: WHO WE ARE
Established in 2006, the Hidden Brookline Committee brings to light the hidden histories of slavery and freedom in Brookline.
The Committee forms part of the Town's Human Relations and Youth Resources Commission.
In 2009, we placed a carved memorial stone in the wall of the cemetery, honoring those who never received honor in their lifetimes.
We continue with research and with creating varied programs for the general public, the public schools, the Town Government, and the Library.
